Cool stuff I have checked out while living in Nashville
Nashville is known for it’s talented singers and amazing music scene. when I move to Nashville a year ago my husband would always say the musical talent will blow you away. I would always say yeah right. I grew up in Michigan and lived in Phoenix‚ Arizona as well and I thought I had been to great concerts and seen some amazing musical talent. Which I have. However‚ In Nashville its like this melting pot of little music geniuses running around. The first concert I went to was The Cash Legacy‚ A musical Tribute to the Man In Black. Studio Tenn put on this concert in the Factory in Franklin‚ TN. There where ten singers and they sang all of Johnny Cash’s hits. However‚ they put their own spin on some of the songs and they where breathtakingly beautiful. One singer sang the song “Hurt” by Johnny Cash and it brought me to tears because it was so beautiful. Anything made from Studio Tenn is worth seeing. Their shows are affordable and you get to be surrounded by passionate singers and be immersed in another world for two hours.
My husband and I love coffee and we where hoping Nashville would have awesome coffee shops like they did when we lived in Arizona. This place called Barista Parlor was once a garage and now turned into a cool trendy place where you can enjoy great music and and a low key atmosphere. They let you sit outside with your dog‚ their breakfast sausage biscuit will melt in your mouth it is so good‚ and their coffee is delicious. If you are anything like my husband and I who are very picky about coffee‚ you will like this place. Their coffee goes down smooth and has great tasting notes.
This is a picture of my husband and I picking fresh strawberries at the Green door Gourmet Farmers market. This 350 acre organic farm in Bellevue‚ Tennessee is literally 7 minutes from my home. Plenty of their fresh vegetables and ingredients are local. They are friendly as can be and will always answer your questions about what they are getting in and what is in season. They have a 25 dollar box that you can fill with as many vegetables as you can fit in the box. I love going in there every week and seeing all the new products they have got in. They have reasonable prices and I love knowing that I am eating fresh vegetables that just came from the ground.
This was a creation of a person at the Nashville Flea Market. They have one every month with a fresh theme. I love it because they have everything you could think of at the Flea Market. I love to see what kind of furniture the vendors will come up with. They paint‚ restore‚ and re-purpose furniture and it looks amazing. There are 800 to 1000 vendors to mull over. You will need your walking shoes and save up some money because you will definitely come across something you want.
Lastly‚ Nashville is know for its beautiful green rolling hills and landscape. I found this park not far from my house called Edwin Warner Park and it is great for sightseeing with it’s squirrels and chipmunks running everywhere. I take my dog hiking on the trails and they have a trail that loops all the way around so you can’t get lost. Plus‚ my dog appreciates me letting her attempt to chase the squirrels even though I will not let her devour one. There are tons of benches and sitting areas if you want to have a picnic. When I walk on the trail I am immersed in trees‚ wild life‚ creeks‚ and plants. I feel like I am in heaven and I let the scenery wash over me.
What are your favorite spots in Nashville?

I saw the usual touristy things on my trip to Nashville. There’s so much more I would have done if I had more time. I am glad though I took the time to drive out to eat dinner at the Loveless Cafe. Have you been yet? It’s really good It was also epic to see Bob Dylan in concert in Nashville. What a legendary setting to see a rock and roll legend in.
