” MAN IN BLACK”
There is an inspiration that I get from Johnny Cash. He always played by his own rules‚ and only followed his own steps. There is something strong about a person who steps out of their comfort zone. He was committed to creating something new. In return‚ he catapulted himself into more experiences.
It was a ballsy move on his part to play at Folsom Prison. He ruffled some feathers and endured judging eyes. Yet‚ he followed his passion and played to a full house of prison mates. He played his heart out‚ and left nothing but his sweat on the floor. He owned that crowd‚ and all eyes were on him.
They called him “The Man in Black” because that was the color he mostly wore. He knew what he liked and did not bother with what the rest of the world thought. He said the heck with them. I am wearing what suits me. This is a bold move in a world who is constantly saying it is better to run with the herd‚ then to be your unique‚ self. Johnny cared enough about himself to listen to his heart and what he wanted out of life. One could can say he was a rebel. I’d rather say he was owning his truth.
He makes me want to push myself out of the bubble of fear. He did not let fear push him around. He was willing to see how free he could be. It is beautiful to see someone experience a deeper connection with life because they are willing to step out in faith. Johnny‚ you are an inspiration to me in many ways. I thank you for showing me an example of what it means to take life by the horns‚ and show it everything you’ve got.
As of now (3) people have had something to say...
